Taylor Swift movie: yes or no?

The thing is, I have tickets to see her in concert next year.

Our elder consults her granddaughter for help with this dilemma.

Dear EWC

Hello! I am currently in the middle of a dilemma. I am a huge Taylor swift fan and recently she announced the Eras tour movie. However, here comes the dilemma. I am planning on seeing her actual Eras tour concert in a year or so. I’m concerned that if I watch the movie, it may take away from the experience of seeing the actual concert. Another small nitpick is people in the theater will be screaming and singing the songs, which is normal for a concert but not for a theater so that may be annoying. On the other side of the spectrum, the Eras tour movie can give me a close look and cool angles on the concert. I know this sounds like a dumb dilemma but it’s a real dilemma I’m having.

I was interested in your letter because my granddaughter has just seen the Taylor Swift concert. As an 80-year-old grandmother, I have no experience with such matters. However I texted my granddaughter and this is what she said:

“I’d say that since they have tickets to a show, they should wait to see it in person – the movie will probably be available for streaming later. Even if they have seen clips from the concerts, the movie will show more of the show and it won’t be the same experience as seeing it in person for the first time.”

So, that’s her advice!  Hope it helps!
