I’m sleeping with my best friend’s brother — we are risking a lot but we can’t stop.

For a couple months now, I have been sleeping with my best friend’s older brother. It started one night when everyone was asleep and we were watching a movie. He touched my thigh and it went on from there. When we started out I didn’t know he had a girlfriend, but even after I found out it kept going on. My best friend has no idea and neither does his girlfriend. Only me and him know about it. I know it’s wrong and we both tried to end it at some point but we never stopped; the temptation overcomes us every time. I don’t know why we keep it up because we are both risking a lot. What should I do?

I think you already know what you should do. At some point, someone will find out. He has cheated on his girlfriend and you have compromised your relationship with his sister, your best friend.

When someone finds out, it could be very ugly. Be the strong one and break it off. If you don’t spend time with him, it’ll be a lot easier for you to be able to move on.

It’s the right thing to do, for all concerned.
